Moving the sliders in game changes the colors but it goes back to what was saved after you exit, meaning you would have to move the sliders every time you start the game. ini files, some of us made changes that require them to be set to read-only so the game doesn't revert the changes. There is another Fallout4Prefs.ini located in the game directory that contains these settings but the values in the Documents one seem to take priority.
